show me your jewels

This is my first installment of Show Me Your Jewels, a reader based feature. This inagaural segment is from Janet in Pasadena. stacking

I have always stacked my rings. Here are some beautiful combinations. I prefer the chunkier look like most of the rings shown here. I also like to see larger stones mixed with bands. Although I certainly wouldn't turn down any of the more uniformly sized sets of rings above.

some nice things

Just some pretty things that would be nice to have for this season. I love the Turquoise and Black combination which I have felt feels very chic all summer. And still seems fresh for fall. I like this diamond ring as it is old fashioned without being overly ornate.

perfect pair

Another perfect two panel pairing. What could go better with this painting than these old white jade beads? Their mellow color and age go just right with this lady reading her book. She would have to wear them doubled so as not to interfere with the neckline of her dress.

cross

Some humble crosses and some majestic ones. What could be more important to bejewel than the cross that symbolizes all of the Christian's beliefs? Conversely what could be more profound than a simple wooden cross made from a splinter of the true cross? In lieu of that jewels.

cloud

I love these two images together. The luminous quality of Stone and Cloud, two opposite substances is amazing. I just want to take a seat and admire this for awhile.

yellow

Yellow with white is nice for summer but with gray is a really sharp look for Fall. We're officially in Fall but I'd say you can still wear yellow with white but oh how nice yellow looks with gray. Wear your yellow glass necklace with a gray sweater if the weather is cooler. On the other hand, I'd love this gray butterfly pendant on a yellow sweater.

mid seasons

These are the last days of flowers and bees. Gather them while ye may. Soon it will be time to wear darker tones. Mindfulness is finding the space between the official seasons like Summer and Fall and expanding it. Enjoy Fummer or Sall.

more pink

Just a solid gold serpent bracelet to contrast with another pure pink extravaganza. I love the way certain pretty girls are doing their hair all in pastel pink this year. And here are some things they need as accessories. Bon Vivant!

claws and such

I love the fierceness of gold links with claws. The large scale gold links are awesome for this Fall.
