One thing that easy to forget is the rainbow quality of gems. We are so used to a monochromatic design. Mixing colors is best seen in costume jewelry as directly above. But I love a rainblow palette where ever I can find it. And I always wear rainbow colored stones during the 12 days of Christmas.
