What could be more alluring than a young woman in pearls? A string of good pearls is always appropriate and can even be worn with a wedding gown. They are de rigeur for preppy Eastern Colleges. Pearls make a great graduation gift for any girl getting her high school diploma and headed for college. I had my pearls restrung as a choker and still wear them with two other choker length strands a la Princess Diana.
