I should have taken these pics against a darker background, but the computer wasn't being cooperative last night so I'm up in the dark trying to get this post up. My sisters wanted me to do some more posts about thing from our Great Aunt Olive so naturally my ivory lion came to mind. These types of lions were made for the export market in China way back at the beginning of the last century. Mine is a partcularly good example. The details are magnificently realistic. I'll try to put up better pics soon. My sister promise to send me pics of the things they have from Aunt Olive. So be looking for more soon.
